Where Are You From?

When Ling Tse master went to visit Da Yu master, Da Yu master asks him “where are you from?” Ling Tse master says “I come from Longpor.”

This is not the right answer. If you are not enlightened, you will not know how to answer. Your body changes all the time.  How can you move this changing body from Longpor to Day Yu master’s place?

Thoughts, body, and phenomena are just manifestations from the mind. Wherever your mind is that is where your manifestations will be. So what can you carry from one place to another place? Only your wandering thoughts, your patterns, and your habitual thinking. So the real answer is “from the habitual thinking and wandering thoughts.”
