The Formless Mind

The mind is formless. This formless mind is not empty, it can generate function. Everything in existence is all from the mind. The mind is the source of life.

It is the source and it is also called the cause without cause. Based on this source, this primordial cause, phenomena is generated. All kinds of phenomena are from this mind. At this moment, the formless mind can generate a thought at this moment to manifest into phenomena, which is the result. Mind is the primordial source.

When we are enlightened, it means that we understand the mind, the source of all phenomena. In enlightenment you return to this mind, and you realize the true face of the mind.

To attain enlightenment, we have to realize this mind. You can gradually break the cycle of reincarnation and gradually see through to the truths of life. To be enlightened, is the only way to get rid of birth and death. And because the mind is formless, nothing can attach onto it. But this formlessness can manifest all phenomena. The function itself is generated and manifested in one moment. In a split second, all existence is manifested. If we don’t understand this concept because of our ego, there is the time concept.

The time concept is very difficult for us to realize the emptiness of the mind. It is difficult to understand how the formless mind manifest phenomena. Because most of the time, mundane being attach to the phenomena created by the mind. Only when we are enlightened, can we truly understand this concept.
