Calm Mind
In Zen, the calm mind is the base. The calm mind is the foundation of any practice, and the pure mind is the purpose of that practice
Consider the statement: “You are of the Mind, and the Mind is of you.” We must all strive to clear our minds of every distraction, every lie and every conceit, so that we can open our awareness to the presence of the Creator within.
The infinite Mind is formless. It is the Creator. It is the Source, and it exists everywhere. It is inseparable from you, no matter how you conceive yourself to be. You are of the Mind, and the Mind is of you.
